Students will learn to make pysanka, a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. Using a stylus, beeswax and dyes, several layers of color are built up on the egg’s surface. When complete, the wax is melted off, revealing the vividly colored design.
Bring a $25 materials fee to the workshop, which includes all the supplies needed to create your Pysanky Egg.
No artistic experience necessary and beginners are welcome!
